The 15th day of Shukla Paksha marks the birth of the Hindu Lord Hanuman. A dedicated bhakt of Shri Rama, Hanuman was known for his courage and strength. He is known as the “fearless one”.
On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, celebrations start in every temple where the Lord resides. Hundreds and thousands of devotees flock to those places to offer their prayers and bring in peace to their life.

The puja starts from the early hours in the morning and is then conducted as per the shastras in Hindu religiosity.
People chant the Hanuman Chalisa with great fervour to usher in positive energy and ward off evil vices. It is this reading of script which gives one peace and courage to conquer ‘evil spirits’.
