Remember laying atop your mother’s lap back when you were a kid? Her lap encompassed by her soft cotton handwoven dupatta. The smell of home, as she caressed your hair and narrated stories of Kings & Queens of India.
The handmade dupattas adorned by our grandmother’s mothers and today even young ladies are the offspring of the hard work of out indigenous handloom weavers.
Gathering raw materials from the bosom of mother nature, these weavers only think of the comfort of our people. Bringing a feeling of belongingness & contentment to all, it’s wearer’s, our indigenous weaver’s handprint or sews enticing designs and patterns which can compete alongside big fashion brands.
But, we hardly recognise them, let alone commemorate these talented weavers. Today India Imprints wishes to call out to all Indian souls, to hear their story. Let’s bring these hard workers to the spotlight and show them their valid recognition.
