It’s time to celebrate a festival that has a profound philosophical attribute to it.
“Buddha Purnima” or “Vesak Day” is the joyous celebration of the Birth, Enlightenment and Final Enlightenment attained by Gautam Buddha. It is the day to chant and offer blessings.
It marks generosity and the non-attachment it begets. It is the day for offerings gifts. This tradition signifies that a gift, however big or small, doesn’t matter; it is rather one’s intention to be generous that matters the most. This day can mark the beginning of one’s wish to practice love, compassion, and a sense of sharing with an urge to let go. As per Buddha’s teachings, this is the greatest gift one can give oneself.
Engaging in this gift sharing event will enable you to feel a stream of energy flowing between the receiver and the giver. It promotes the idea that one cannot exist without the other and the loving energy keeps flowing by this exchange.
At India Imprints, we stand by the nation in observance of this meaningful ceremonial rite and wish you peace, well-being and happiness.
