Ever since childhood, most of us can recall a memory of lying on our grandparents’ lap as they spun us tales of folklore and myths. Where do you think those stories originated from? Well, they are all a part of art. Indian culture best portrays its mythologies and folklore in the form of artwork. That is why Indian art is so quick to enrapture every being.
Deep within our soul when we come across#artisans fashioning traditional heritages, we are washed over with a wave of nostalgia. That is the essence behind our origins; art never fails to connect us with our glorious ancestries. Stories we grew up listening to were always a part of us and Indian art never forgets to walk us down the memory lane.
However, in this technological generation, most of us are becoming slaves of social media, forgetting our roots. While we are busy clicking selfies, these artisans hide right under our noses creating emotions with their handcrafts. Even without the best of schooling, their talent lies unburied. But it’s disheartening to see them not getting the limelight they deserve!
Therefore, it’s time for us to show our solidarity towards these forlorn artisans and give them a platform to shine.
Each and every piece of craft eclipses the hard work of these craftsmen, who might have spent hours on empty stomach to shape their products.
The soul of Indian artists have travelled, centuries back collecting stories and mythologies which they implement in their art. Therefore, with the intention of upholding the Indian traditions & culture, we hope to connect the people of India with these indigenous artists.
Come; let’s glorify Indian culture once again. We call out to all likeminded people of our country to acknowledge this ageless beauty of Indian arts!
