Gandhigiri!
That’s what India’s most iconic leader, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, taught us during his years of struggle in our national freedom movement.
With ideologies and philosophies like non-violence, Satyagraha, & truth –the fundamental pillars of Gandhism – he successfully led us to our independence. He fought with every blood and sweat in his body against social evils like casteism, untouchability, and in favor of the needy and poor.
To such nobility, we, Indians, celebrate 2nd October to commemorate this great leader with love and passion in our heart. Gandhi Jayanti is the day when people of all religion come together to celebrate his birthday peacefully by organizing events and programs in schools and colleges.
On June 15, 2007, the United Nations General Assembly announced that 2nd October would be recognized as the International Day of Non-Violence.
We, at India Imprints, also join in with our patrons to pay our respect to everyone’s favorite Father of the Nation!
