India Imprints

“A civilization begets a culture in its progress. It is the culture that stays throughout the ages, thereby making the civilization immortal.”

In all honesty, that is what constitutes the very core of our culture. Indian culture is an assimilation of variegated strains of various cultures that graced our sacred grounds. To us, came travellers and explorers, invaders and conquerors, all of whom have had themselves imprinted and ingrained in our soil, in a manner best described as immortal.

In short, we’re a canvas steeped in a kaleidoscopic plethora of colours. And this is how we have stood by our age-old aphorism of ‘Unity in diversity.’

We stand united in our dissimilitude, and in our distinctive heterogeneity lies our beauty.

India Imprints strives to preserve this beauty that is so deeply inculcated in our being. The modern urban Indian today has, to a considerable extent imbibed the western way of life. Yet, at the core, this Indian soul remains untainted. It is to the needs of this unblemished core that we cater to.

The essence of our heritage breathes in the very being of the artisans who inhabit the far corners of our country, constituting the roots that still hold us together. They, in flesh and blood, are the reification of the bond that we, as human beings, share with our sacred soil. In their craft, lies the life-blood of the culture that we, as Indians hold dear.

Artisans in their multitudinous creations, place a part of their souls in their work. In their craft, lies the unadulterated love that has for his soil. In his creations, he moulds his ancestral heritage to be illustrative of their survival throughout the millennia. His creations are the saga of his existence, and the evidence of the solidarity of our culture and tradition.
